Otherworldly Videos: Village

“VILLAGE: An Afrofuturistic Fable”

“VILLAGE: An Afrofutiuristic Fable”- “The Children in 2059”

From Jos Duncan:

This production was conceived as a result of listening to concerns in the African and African American cultural community. In a time when digital technology is dominating our world and political, financial and justice systems are continually failing, it was important to take a look at our cultural and community values through a futuristic lens.

The production is a series of multi-media vignettes featuring storytelling, dance, music and media. Storytelling/Poetry by Jos Duncan and Sarai Abdul Malik, Choreography by Cachet Ivey and Ama Schley, Percussion by Jabar Smith, Omar Harrison, and Chuck Greb, Vocals by Tekeytha Fullwood, Erika Hicks, Dancers—Peaches Jones, Crystal Gatling and more.
