Written and directed by Cameroon-born, San Francisco based filmmaker Lino Brown, Zincgraff is the story of a reclusive painter who holds onto a lost love through his memories and hallucinations in order to finish a portrait of her.
Brown described the film as “an internal exploration of a relationship and the timeline of dissolution & empathy, thus begging the question of ‘What are the stories behind a painter’s paintings?’ … my work has been about telling stories, propelling issues of social perception, relationships and the mass psychology of my generation. I am interested in how the mind works and how our thoughts, ideas, feelings and perceptions relate to the world both personally and collectively.”
The film stars Preston Davis, Tatasha Lee and poet Jazz Monique Hudson.
I have got to see this!
